FAQs

Intermountain Excavation

  • How do I know when my septic is failing?

Signs of a failing septic system include increased wetness in your yard, unusually green patches of grass, unpleasant odors, slower draining sinks or showers, and potential backups in your plumbing fixtures. If you notice any of these symptoms, it's advisable to have your septic system inspected promptly.
  • How do I know how much material I need for my yard?

To calculate the amount of material needed for your yard, use this formula: length x width x depth, then divide the result by 27. This method works for various materials including topsoil, mulch, sand, and gravel. It's always wise to order a bit extra to account for settling and uneven surfaces.
  • How do I prepare for an excavation contractor?

Prior to our arrival, please remove any items, materials, or objects from the work area and its vicinity. Additionally, we kindly request that you clear the path leading to the work site. This preparation allows us to begin work efficiently and safely upon arrival.
  • Do you help design excavation projects?

Indeed, we offer design assistance as part of our complimentary estimation process. During the free consultation, we conduct a thorough site walkthrough, helping you visualize your project and providing expert advice on the best approaches for your specific needs.
